Child Obesity - The Problem
Over the last 10 years obesity levels in American children have more than doubled to over 15%. Over 30% of America's youth are considered overweight or have a weight problem.
Contributing to this problem: video games, fast food, computer games, TV, cuts in school physical education programs, etc. Over 60% of today's kids do not participate in organized physical activity outside of school.
Type II diabetes among American children is on the increase. The lack of exercise is considered the bigger contributor to this dramatic increase.
